Well today we had Eli's birthday party. His actual birthday is tomorrow, but we thought that we would celebrate over the weekend. Grandma and Grandpa, Aunt Ruth and cousin Katie, and Great Grandma and Grandpa Frazee came. We blew up a ton of balloons and just hung out for the day. Here are a few pictures of the events of the day.

This was Eli's second cake ever and so we just sat it in front of him and he went to town, he had to taste every spot and decoration. He enjoyed his blue whale with orange and yellow spots. And...I think that we made it through the day with only an eczema breakout and no major tummy aches!

My baby will be a year and a half old tomorrow - that is crazy! I just took a few pictures of her today and thought that I would share. She is doing good. Both Kiley and Eli were sick a couple of weeks ago, but both are feeling better now. Kiley is growing like crazy and no longer my baby, though she does still only have 6 teeth (not sure at what point that should be concerning). She is talking like crazy and is always very determined to get her point acrossed.

My friend Jody had this cute little quiz that you do with your kids so I thought that I would give it to Eli. He loved it. My favorite was his responce to #18...

1.What is something mom always says to you?
"Um...please!"
2. What makes mom happy?
"When I help her"
3. What makes mom sad?
"When I don't help her"
4. How does your mom make you laugh?
"When she tickles me!"
5. What was your mom like as a child?
"Just like a baby I guess, I do not know."
6. How old is your mom?
"I'm not sure not 1 maybe like 45."
7. How tall is your mom?
"She is taller than me."
8. What is her favorite thing to do?
"Help"
9. What does your mom do when you're not around?
"I guess she just does everything herself."
10. If your mom becomes famous, what will it be for?
"I don't know, what is famous again?"
11. What is your mom good at?
"Doing the dishes"
12. What is your mom not very good at?
"Paying the bills" (not sure where this came from maybe b/c daddy usually does this?!)
13. What does your mom do for her job?
"Does the dishes"
14. What is your mom's favorite food?
"I don't know mom you tell me, is it ice cream?" (he is probably right)
15. What makes you proud of your mom?
"When she tickles me"
16. If your mom were a cartoon character, who would she be?
"Probably Superman" (though he has never seen this I think that it is one of the few characters he actually knows.)
17. What do you and your mom do together?
"Play"
18. How are you and your mom the same?
"Right now we both have on the same socks, well actually the only thing different now is that I have a little soup stain here on the top of mine, do you see it mommy?"
19. How are you and your mom different?
"Well I have one big circle for my head and sometimes it looks like she has two, you know one for your head and one on top because of your hair. I don't have that."
20. How do you know your mom loves you?
"Because she is special!"
21. Where is your mom's favorite place to go?"
"Probably to her mom and dad's house"

Wednesday we had a great fun filled day. My brother's family, Jasper Gina and the boys came up for the day. We started out by attempting to get a picture of the five cousins, lets just say that the man at the studio deserves a raise, he did his best. When we started we told him he deserved a raise for even attempting, he said that it was no big deal but it only took him about 5 min. to agree with us! Andrew and Eli did great, and Jack for the most part, but as expected Tyse and Kiley had a few issues...We ended up with one of where the boys look pretty good, but Kiley looks like she had a late night and early morning! Gina ended up getting a good one of her boys though. After pictures we came back to the house, played and ate lunch. We finished the day at the Children's Museum.
We parked on the street and as we pulled in Eli says, "Hey mom could I please put the money in the meter?" Did not think much of it until we were walking in and Andrew says, "Why did you put money in those machine things?" I do not often think of the difference in living in a small city (Lincoln) vs a small town (Sabetha).

Grandpa Bob (Brian's dad) sent Kiley a necklace he made! I was very impressed.
It has her name on it and she loves it.

Brian just got back from New York early this morning. He had a nice relaxing time visiting friends who live outside of Buffalo. Thank you Aaron and Ginny.

Ginny, Aiden, Reese beside Falls!

They went to eat breakfast at a place where they tapped the maple trees outside and the tap ran right into the restaurant for the syrup. They also hit up the Anchor Bar where buffalo wings originated. He said that it was a small old time restaurant with amazing wing!

Another picture from the Falls - Do you see the Face?

So I am going to give this a try...
Here are a few of the pictures that I took throughout my day today...

Kiley's highchair was about 1/2 way through a scrub down , waiting for the cover from the dryer when I hear, "Hey mom, could you please come in here and help me, I think that I am stuck."

Pete and Repeat live at my house...

both kids love to play in the laundry basket,

honestly I have no clue what they were doing here?!

Who knew that fitted sheets could be so much fun!!

Helping - our last house had a central vac.(very quiet) thus within the past year my children have both gone from running out of the room when they see it to arguing over who gets to use it (and yes, my 17 month old can defiantly argue :)
