A couple of weeks ago we got 5 sweet little baby caterpillars in the mail. Over the last few weeks we have watched them grow and transform. The kids have had a lot of fun watching them. Yesterday was gorgeous so we decided that we would let our butterflies go. The kids had a lot of fun and kindly asked them to return to visit...

We have been enjoying the weather before it gets to hot here...

It is bluebonnet time in TX! Translation for anyone not from TX - there are pretty bluish purple flowers everywhere - they only last a couple of weeks - and anywhere there is a nice looking patch you will see cars pulled over and people taking pictures - it does not really matter if it is along a four lane or someones personal drive...

The kids and I headed out for some fresh air one afternoon we headed to a nature trail we enjoy and there was a nice blue bonnet patch on the way back. I had not taken the kids out with the camera in a while so we all had fun...

We are just wrapping up spring break and it was nice to do really nothing... We went to a circus, did a few science experiments, made finger paints, and turned the back wall of the tree house into a blackboard.

So the first of March my parents came for an extended weekend and the kids had a ball. We got to pick up my parents in Austin on Dad's birthday and then we also got to celebrate Eli's birthday (super early) while they were here.
