Eli has been working on riding his bike without training wheels and having a lot of fun with it. Mom and Dad both love the balancing buddy that we got to help along the way - it works wonderful...

Eli has acquired a few doctor items through his stays at different hospitals and the kids both are really into playing doctor right now. It is interesting to hear what they have to say and what procedures need to occur before surgery. Eli has been put to sleep several times and Kiley recently had surgery as well so it is fun to just watch their interpretations.
Despite the fact that it is more snow - the snow we are having today is really pretty and the temp. is not so bad! This morning was the kind of snowflakes that you could catch in your mouth.
Time right now is going very fast but slow at the same time. I do not know if that makes any since but it seems like things are slow in our lives in general now, but I can not believe that we are nearing the end of February.
Kiley seems to be growing up so quickly right now. She is a sponge and her brother is loving to 'fill' her up with whatever he can think up at the time. She now affectionately calls him Brother Lehmann - I do not know why it started but it continues for the simple fact that each time she says it his response is, "My name is not Brother Lehmann!" She also ends everything with "Amen." Anytime she is talking on her phone or reading a book when she is done it is always, "ok Amen." Kiley is still very stubborn and always is ready to give her opinion. "Well mommy I already did..." is one of her favorite things to say and anytime she does not want to do something she lets you know that, "I can't gives me a tummy ache!"
Eli is doing well. It is hard to believe that he will be five at the end of next month. He had entered into this stage of back talking and as always he can justify anything and always has a plan. He needs reminders that he is actually not in charge - yesterday when I gave him a friendly reminder his response was, "I know but sometimes it is easier with Kiley because I think she likes to listen to me more than you." Positive thing is that he is getting lots of practice on his writing, spelling, and sentences as I use them as 'reminders' for discipline issues.
Health wise Eli has had a really good week. He was not sick at all this week and seems to have energy and a great appetite. His last blood work came back better - which is encouraging. He had more done this morning too. The shots are going great and have just became routine.

Wow I am almost a month out - time flies. Eli is beginning week three of treatment tomorrow. Week one was good two not as much today was better just in time for his shot tomorrow. He also has blood work in the morning so it will be interesting to see how it all comes back...
Cardboard fun. Eli had fun helping create some armor for himself last night and then decorated it. I would have to say that one of the best Christmas gifts I got for my kids this year was the Mellisa & Doug sticker books. I do not remember how much they were but I know they were under $10 and my children have gotten hours of play out of them. They have gender specific ones and the girl one has stickers to set up tea parties and dress babies and the boy one is more rescue, farm, knight things. Fun stuff.
