Last week we found a new little 'park' in a nearby town. there is a great creek that goes through it and it is nice and shallow - perfect for wadding in. There is also a playground and fun rocks to climb all over. Kiley had fun w/her friends and I am sure we will head back this summer.

We have (or I should say had) Strawberries!!! Our nice little plant gave us each a strawberry to enjoy hopefully that will not be the end of them but they were delicious...

For those of you who do not know the state flower of Texas is the bluebonnet and apparently the thing to do this time of year is to take pictures in the blue bonnets. I mean people drive all over looking for the perfect patch to do the pictures and if there is a good patch no matter where it is even on the side of the road people just pull over and take pictures. I as you know like taking pictures so of course I jumped right on the opportunity. I have only taken a few b/c when we went Saturday we had already been to family fun day at the park and the kids had their faces all painted. They had fun running in the flowers and I got a few pictures.

We are just rounding out a busy weekend. Eli started baseball this week. He made the cutoff by a day so he has to play machine pitch w/6-8 yrs olds. His coach seems great and he is playing with a bunch of kids from church so hopefully we will make it through the season ok. So between practice, hiking, family fun day, chalk ridge falls, birthday party, and church it has been a full weekend. We are enjoying exploring and finding new place to fill our summer with. Happy Birthday Brian! Brian took a weekend camping/hunting trip for his birthday, it will be interesting to see how it turned out. We celebrated(if can call a new water bottle in a paper bag and a steak dinner celebration) a little early on Thursday... Happy belated birthday - we love you!

It is hard to believe that we are into April already. Eli has been enjoying working on his lego sets from his birthday and they both love playing with the finished product.
